ITINERARY IN DETAIL
Arriving at Noi Bai airport, after clearing immigration and customs, you will be met and privately transferred to the hotel. Check in and relax after a long flight. Stay overnight at the hotel in Ha Noi.
In the early morning, meet your guide and start full day city tour exploring Hanoi. Start with the Mausoleum of the nation’s founder Ho Chi Minh and the Presidential Palace, followed by the serene One Pillar Pagoda, Temple of Literature known as the site of Vietnam’s first university. Next, visit the National Museum of Vietnamese History – it has a total area of more than 2,200m2, displaying nearly 7,000 documents and objects. It also has over 100,000 specimens of precious objects from the cultures of Nui Don, Hoa Binh-Bac Son, and Dong Son. In the afternoon, walking around the Ha Noi Old Quarter, ending at the historic Hoan Kiem Lake, visit Ngoc Son, enjoy the Water Puppet Show. In the evening, car transfer to the train station to catch your night train to Laocai. Overnight on the train (4-Berth Cabin).
The train arrives at the Laocai railway station in the early morning. Your guide and driver will meet you there and take you on the 40km drive to Sapa – Northwest Vietnam’s premier travel destination. Enjoy breakfast at the hotel then catch a few hours of rest before beginning your adventure in this beautiful mountain landscape and home to many minority hill tribe peoples. In the late morning, your guide will take you on a two hour trek through the terraced rice fields to visit the villages Cat Cat and Sin Chai, where you will learn about local traditions and daily life. Morning, trek up Ham Rong (Dragon’s Jaw) Mountain. There are several well tended flower gardens along the way. Going through two Heaven Gates, you will get the top of Ham Rong Mountain. Up here, you will have a sensational spectacular views of the Hoang Lien Son Mountains, including Vietnam’s highest peak – Fansipan. In the afternoon, Sapa Express Bus picks you up at the hotel and transfer back Hanoi. Arrive in Hanoi center, meet our staff and transfer to your hotel. Overnight in Hanoi.

Morning, drive to Halong Bay – the UNESCO World Heritage Site. Spend 24 hours on a traditional Junk Cruise in the amazing bay: a natural wonderland composed of jutting limestone islands and sparkling turquoise waters. Arrive at the dock around noon and board your junk. Savor a gourmet lunch of fresh seafood onboard as we sail out into the mystical bay. In the afternoon, cruise around some of Halong’s many islands, including Dinh Huong and Ga Choi. Along the way visit one of the bay’s 3 largest caves (Thien Cung, Dau Go or Sung Sot). Stop at an island cove with a sheltered white-sand beach and take a dip in the warm waters of the Tonkin Gulf (weather permitting). Pass the night on your junk, lulled to sleep by the gentle rocking of calm waters.
Waking up surrounded by the tranquil beauty of the bay, we have time for an early morning dip with joys and emotions for watching sunrise on sea followed by breakfast. The cruise continues to move around the bay for us to discover more secluded areas; we then take kayaking and swimming in the stunning bay. The junk will be near us at all times serving as a backup vessel for those that require it. At around midday we will return to the main harbor before transferring to our awaiting vehicle for a 4-hour journey toward Noi Bai airport for flight to Hue City. Arrive in Hue City, meet your guide and transfer to city center for hotel check in. Stay overnight in Hue City.
Today we will do full-day city tour. Starting by boat trip on Perfume River to visit the picturesque Thien Mu Pagoda, then visit Minh Mang King Tomb. Transfer back to Hue center for lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, take a visit to the Citadel and the Forbidden Purple City. After that, walking around and shopping in Dong Ba Market. Stay overnight in Hue City.
After having breakfast, drive to Hoi An ancient town. The scenery on the way is very beautiful, do not forget bring your camera, taking a lot of pictures. Stop at Lang Co beach for coffee and refreshments before winding our way up the spectacular Hai Van Pass to admire the stunning views north to Lang Co beach and south to Da Nang City. Continue on our way down to the other side and head to Da Nang where we will stop at the Cham Museum, the Marble Mountains. Check in and overnight at hotel in Hoi An.
Morning, have breakfast. Then guide and car pick you up to 4th century Cham religious sanctuary of My Son, located in a beautiful green valley surrounded by impressive mountains. In the afternoon, do ½ day Hoi An city tour, visit Temple Kwan, Phuc Kien Temple, Tan Ky Ancient House, Phung Hung house, Japanese Bridge and cultural show rooms in Hoi An. Stay overnight in Hoi An.
“Farming & Fishing Life” tour provides you with a close-up and intimate exposure to both the local farming and fishing communities. Accompanied by your tour guide, you commence the day leisurely cycling along country roads witnessing local Vietnamese rural life first hand, discovering all manner of photo opportunities – coming and visiting a beautiful organic vegetable village, watering and planting vegetable, hoeing a soil with local farmer, riding a water buffalo in a rice paddy field; seeing ducks swimming along the rice farm or farmers tending their crops. The photo opportunities are endless. As well you will experience the friendliness of the local people greeting you along the way. Later you will board our Jack Tran’s boat for a river cruise to meet and engage with local fishermen and enjoy a hands-on experience of traditional net fishing. Start from your hotel to Cau Da port. Visit Tri Nguyen Aquarium, snorkeling in Mun Island, where you can see lots of lives colorful corals and fish. You will also be able to see caves in which the sea swallows make their nest. Then relaxing, swimming & doing water sports (expenses excluded) or other activities at Mot Island, Tranh Beach Island or on a small island calling “Mini beach”. Transfer to Cam Ranh airport for morning flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Arrive in Ho Chi Minh City, car and guide pick up for half day city tour visit: Reunification Palace, War Remnant Museum, Notre Dame Cathedral, Old Post office, Dong Khoi Street, Ben Thanh market. Free at the rest of day. Stay overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.
In the morning, car and guide transfer from Ho Chi Minh City to Cai Be (Tien Giang Province). Arrive in Cai Be, transfer toward the tourist boat station, you will be welcomed with cold towels, fresh coconut. Boating and enjoying the fresh air on the Mekong river, the tourists visit the floating market, the original style of commerce on the Mekong river, will be dizzy of boats on the river. Visiting the local poprice, coconut candy workshop and knowing the ways bee-breeding tasting honey tea by breezy river.
Crossing the Mekong river to An Binh island visiting a hundred year ancient house (Mr.Cai Cuong), a landlord’s one in the past, a combination between Vietnamese-French architecture in the Mekong delta (if low tide, tourists will visit another local house, knowing about the daily activities of the locals). Taking about 20 minutes for rowing sampan or cycling along the village paths with discovery feelings. Boating to the local family. In the afternoon, walking to village paths, stop at the local house to know the real rural life in the early evening. Preparing and having dinner, is the wonderful things for tourist in cosy evening with the local ones. Overnight in local family home.
In the early morning, having breakfast, say goodbye to the family. Boating to An Binh Garden, enjoying a cup of tea and some of the local tropical fruits and listening to the traditional music, is the best chance for relaxation. Cruising along Co Chien river, visiting brick & pottery kilns where the tourist know how to make the brick and the pottery from the local clay and styles with the traditional technique. Drive to Can Tho City – is the biggest city of the Mekong Delta. Arive in Can Tho, check in your hotel. In the afternoon, we visit Binh Thuy Ancient House – it was built in 1870 with French style in architecture but still remained trational features of Southern style. Back Can Tho City. Free to discover the city at night. Overnight in Can Tho City.
In early morning, take boat trip to visit Cai Rang Market. It is said that “not being in Cai Rang floating market means not knowing the land of Tay Do – an old name of Can Tho”. Cai Rang floating market, one of the famous floating markets of the Southwest, specializes in selling fruits and agricultural products of the whole region.There are hundred boats gather together where their owners start to sell agri – products. To be recognized easily, they hang out product samples on a long bamboo (called Cay Beo) in front of the boats, so that they do not need to cry their wares as in mainland market. Then, drive approximately three hours to the riverside town of Chau Doc, a colourful and sleepy town near the Vietnam-Cambodia border. Stay overnight in Chau Doc.
Morning, transfer to harbor for speedboat from Chau Doc to Phnom Penh (about 4hours). Upon arrival, meet your guide, transfer to the hotel in Phnom Penh. Stay overnight at hotel in Phnom Penh.
Full day city tour: Visit the Royal Place built in 1866 by King Norodom; Silver Pagoda is so named because of its floor, which is made up of 5,000 silver tiles and located within the Royal Palace compound, National Museum and visit Tuol Sleng Museum, a reminder of the Khmer Rouge regime. A small cruise boats will take you out onto the river from a different perspective.Witness the sun set over the Royal Palace and the Mekong River; enjoy a leisurely cruise with soft drink, local beer and BBQ dinner; take in the sights along the river bank including many local Cambodian families and friends socializing. Cruise back to the port and transfer back to your hotel.
After breakfast, at 8am we set out for Phnom Penh Architecture Tour By Cyclo, started from your hotel by cyclo for a three hour tour through the streets of Phnom Penh to admire the mix of Khmer and French colonial architecture. A local professional escort will explain the history, structure and style of the buildings such as the Old Post Office, the Railway Station and the Central Market. Some of the buildings you are able to enter and explore the interior in more depth while others can only be observed from the outside. Cambodia’s most famous architect, H.E. Vann Molyvann had a big hand in developing many of the structures you admire today. Transfer to airport for departure to Siem Reap, on arrival meet and transfers to hotel for check in.
Beat the crowd early morning by 7am, visit the picturesque Ta Prohm that had nearly disappeared into the jungle and remains overgrown, an oddly haunting and exotic scene. The magnificent roots of a tree, pushing between the huge stone blocks of the temple in a sort of embrace, evoke feelings that you may remember forever. And continue to visit the intricately carved Khmer ruins at Angkor Wat – one of the world’s most impressive ruins. The temple still owns fine Apsara carvings in Angkorian era art. Lunch is own account. Afternoon, explore the mysterious Royal city Angkor Thom. City & Bayon Its 54-tower temple is an awesome sight. At first glance it seems a shapeless mass of stone, but further scrutiny reveals a face, and then another and another until suddenly you are engulfed by the silent, heavy, enigmatic and silent gaze through half-closed eyes, staring out from a primitive and remote time. Further, visit to the surroundings of the complex including the Baphou, Elephant Terraces, Lepper King Terrace and Royal Place area and visit one more ruin in Angkor Area of Preah Khan temple, built in 12th century by King Jayavarman VII and it is the same style to Ta Prom Temple.
After breakfast at hotel, today is one of the highlight in the trip to visit one famous temple built by King Soryavarman II in the early of 12th century is hidden in the real jungle and very ruins, called Beng Melea. Return to Siem Reap town. Wat Damnak is one of the most beautiful pagodas in town with French colonial architecture reflecting its history and a large garden filled with statues. Bring candles and incense sticks to the pagoda and participate in a private good luck blessing ceremony, performed by local monks that reside at the temple. Sit on the mat while the monks chant blessings and sprinkle holy water on you – a traditional way which is believed pass on the good luck of the gods. Afterwards, a sacred thread will be tied around your wrist. This will protect you from any evil spirits or accidents. Before you continue on your journey, you will receive a small keepsake from the monks to remind you of this special moment.
Free until transfer to Siem Reap airport for flight to Luang Prabang. Arriving in Luang Prabang, transfer to the hotel for check in. Stay overnight in Luang Prabang.
After breakfast, we do 1/2 day city tour, visit the Royal Palace Museum ,then walking tour, taking in some of Luang Prabangs hidden secrets, walking down the quiet back lanes leading to Wat Xiengthong. Along the way we stop at Wat Chomkhong, which is known for its decorative carvings. We also pass by the Fine Arts School. Our final visit the magnificent Wat Xiengthong. Overnight at the hotel in Luang Prabang.
After breakfast, we board a cruise upstream on the Mekong River to visit village of Ban Muangkeo where we start a short trek to reach the mysterious Pak Ou Caves. En route, we stop at the village of Ban Xanghai. We then return to Luang Prabang by car via Ban Nongxai, an artisan’s village and also to visit a silversmith workshop. We arrive back in Luang Prabang by mid afternoon. Stay overnight at the hotel in Luang Prabang.
